The Methodist University Honor Code
In pursuit of academic studies at Methodist University, every student has the responsibility for obeying the Honor Code, which prohibits cheating (including plagiarism), theft, and academic misrepresentation. All work submitted to instructors must be in compliance with the rules of the Honor Code.
Clery Act Information
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) is a consumer protection law that aims to provide transparency around campus crime policy and statistics. Clery Act Report information can be found on the Methodist University website. You may request a print version of the report by contacting the Director of Police & Public Safety at (910) 630-7149.
Title IX Non-Discrimination Policy
Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”) prohibits sexual discrimination in educational programs receiving federal funds. At Methodist University, some of those programs and activities include admissions, recruitment, financial aid, academic programs, athletics, housing, and employment. Title IX also protects students, faculty, and staff from unlawful sexual harassment in school programs or activities. Title IX protects both male and female students, faculty, and staff from sexual harassment, regardless of who is the harasser.
Methodist University does not discriminate on the basis of sex and is prohibited from doing so by Title IX. Sexual discrimination includes sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, and sexual violence (see section 6.5.1.1. Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Defined in the Full Non-Discrimination and Title IX Statement).

Application Agreement

I understand and agree that Methodist University has the right to consult and obtain information from public or private sources to verify any statement or representation made by me herein, and I hereby authorize any person, company or other legal entity from whom such information is requested to provide the same to Methodist University.
I understand that Methodist University reserves the right to discuss with prospective and accepted students any behavior, comments, or language (including through social media) that may be offensive or inflammatory to other individuals or groups. Action by the University may include, but is not limited to withdrawing acceptance to the University. For current students, actions may include verbal warning, counseling, suspension, and expulsion.
